Organizing Products I Actually Use in Clients’ Homes

When it comes to organizing your home, the market is flooded with containers, bins, labels, and “miracle” solutions that promise to simplify your life. But let’s be honest: most of them end up collecting dust — or worse, becoming clutter themselves.
As a professional organizer, not only do I not recommend products unless I’ve used them across a variety of real homes, but I also emphasize the importance of planning for organization projects (more on this topic here!)
And when I do make product recommendations, I tend to get a bit particular; unless I've personally used them for my clientele - real families, with real schedules, I'm simply not going to share links. I'm a firm believer in speaking with integrity, that I don't waste people's time, money, or energy. So without further ado, below are five organizing staples that deliver function, elevate aesthetics, and genuinely make day-to-day life easier.
Transparent bins are my go-to for pantries, linen closets, under-sink storage - anywhere you want visibility and structure. The built-in handles make them easy to pull out and access, even for kids. They help prevent overbuying (you’ll always know if you already have three jars of peanut butter) and are endlessly versatile. They also help utilize deep spaces, like shelving that's 16" deep, without items getting lost in the back, as your hand fumbles around blindly while looking for specific items. This 16" acrylic bin comes in various widths and is quite versatile.
This is one of the most underutilized tools in home organization. A turntable brings items stored in the back of deep cabinets into full view with a simple spin. I use them in pantries for oils and sauces, in bathrooms for skincare, and even under kitchen sinks for cleaning supplies. There are so many options to meet various needs! They come with various height options (typically ranging from 1" to 3") to prevent items from falling off when spinning, and in 1 or 2-tiered as well (be mindful when purchasing tiered options; they're excellent for maximizing vertical space, but can make it difficult to reach and return items if the shelf above it is not height-adjustable)
Typically, in bamboo, black, white, and acrylic, tiered shelving turns your cabinets into stadium seating, so you can see everything at a glance. No more digging through rows of spices or canned goods! Bonus: They also work beautifully in medicine cabinets and vanities.
When you’re short on square footage, go vertical! Stackable drawers are ideal for under-sink areas (especially when plumbing gets in the way), closets, and even inside pantries. They help you maximize every inch while keeping zones clearly defined.
Whether you prefer woven, fabric, or acrylic styles, baskets with visible labels bring both form and function. Labels serve as a visual cue and reinforce new habits, especially helpful in homes with children or multiple people sharing responsibilities.
If you're ready to implement these tools in your own space, but need help sourcing the right products for your home - and installing a system that sticks, that’s where I come in!
